Sweets come in a wide variety of textures from soft and chewy to hard and brittle.  Toffee, candy, sherbet, coconut, gummies, jelly beans, rock candy, lollipops, liquorice, peppermint sticks, peanut brittle, chocolate coated raisins or peanuts, boiled sweets and candy bars are just a few examples of the confections that are sold under the name "sweets".
